This part of the country I live in is semiarid foothills at the base of the Rocky Mountains on the Palmer Divide in Colorado, the elevation is 6000 ft with low temperatures of -25°F bellow Zero in Winter and in the 100°F plus in the Summer.
 
Seeds are collected from 6,000 to 14,000 ft in elevation.

Hemerocallis: These daylillies are edible the tubers are crunchy and very tasty raw or cooked, the flower buds and flowers can also be eaten raw or cooked. A must for every homestead these plants take little or no care once established they will continue to spread, daylillies can be harvested every year for tubers and buds!

Inside greenhouse:These plants are in 2 1/2" pots sold as is or bumped up into 4" or 1 gal pots ,the shrubs and trees eventually go into 1, 5, 7 and 15 gallon pots.
